On the 28th of May Hamish Coleman-Ross and I hosted the NewstalkZB show “The Nutters Club.”
We discussed 18-year-old Harry McLean, who committed suicide while under mental health care in Christchurch in 2013. After TVNZ1’s Sunday broadcast on his story, we dove deeper into a deeply flawed New Zealand system and question why New Zealand’s Director of Mental Health doesn’t know the annual suicide rate.
